Every generation has their own best kept beauty secret and my grandmother was no stranger to that. She was known for doing her own thing and like they say... the apple doesn't fall very far from the tree!
When I was in my teens I remember having one of those long conversations with her about life that I now look back on fondly. We spoke of everything from religion, politics, how things were when she was growing up during the depression, parenting tips, school, likes/dislikes, cooking, cleaning, you name it! And then after hours of talking she finally broke down and told me her best kept beauty secret... VASELINE!!!
Now I know many of you are thinking, what? But it's true! My grandmother had the smoothest skin around, she never wore makeup (only a little blush and some nude lipstick to church), and lived to be 93 years old! I asked what was so wonderful about Vaseline and she said...
"Honey, it is good to put on everything!"
She shared that every night before going to bed she would take a shower, brush her teeth, comb her hair, and before tucking into bed she would put a thick layer of Vaseline all over her face and neck. She said it held in moisture throughout the night leaving her skin silky smooth! Not only that, but you could also do the same for your hands and feet as well- why not just go ahead and lather down your entire body, and she did!
So next time you head to the drugstore or your bathroom don't be shy in picking up a big bottle of 100% petroleum jelly Vaseline for the best skincare around!
It's not the first time and I'm sure it won't be the last time, but 2019 has been AMAZING! Hard to believe it has been almost two years since I started this soap journey and I wouldn't be where I am at today without your love and support. Each time I meet a customer at a show and they let me know how much they love products they've purchased from me, it truly touches my heart!
Since the beginning I've strived to offer bath and body products that not only pamper your skin but also help restore damage as well. From heat rashes, eczema, skin irritations, dry to oily skin, and everything else in-between, I want to help you feel better and comfortable in your own skin! The product line from 2018 to 2019 expanded greatly offering a wide array of products for you to try. This past year has been a wonderful time of learning what YOU LOVE and has help me tailor my product line to fit those needs. Check out how far we've grown together!
